Not a Lot of Sleep!

Last weekend was EXHAUSTING!

I had to be up and at work by 6am on Friday morning (though I was able to leave by 8am) and then my team (and I) worked from 6pm - 3am Friday night/Saturday morning. We weren't supposed to work again until Sunday morning around 6am, so I slept until around 10am, and did stuff around the house. I found out we were four hours ahead of schedule, so I decided to go to bed around 8pm. Shortly there-after, before I even fell asleep, I found out we were so far ahead of schedule, that I had to be in to work by 11:30. At that point, there was no going to bed for me, so into work I went. Where I stayed until 6:30am. I got back home and took a short nap until I had to be back online and worked until noon. Needless to say, I was out like a light when I was finally able to get offline and back to bed!

And, of course, I've felt pretty off and out of it all week as I adjust to a normal sleep schedule again.

A three-pack of wine that was a gift from friends. We haven't tried the red yet (on the left), but were very happy with the other two!


I found the bull on the bottle of white especially awesome.


We might need to go to some sort of Dominion support group or something.


I bought these new light switch covers for the kitchen shortly after the remodel was done, but one of them had to be cut in order to fit our particular configuration (we had a switch AND one of those special near-water outlet thingies on the same faceplate), so it took over a year before we finally did that and got them up. I love them. John's kinda meh about them, but my opinion matters more. Ha.


Any of you who have ever stayed at a DoubleTree know that they give you the most AMAZING chocolate chip cookie when you check in. A. Maze. Ing. We always try to stay at DoubleTrees whenever we have the chance just because the cookies are so full of win. So for Valentine's Day, I went online and ordered a small tin of them for John. Which, of course, he shared with me. What a guy!

I'm not quite sure we have ever successfully finished a complete game of Settlers of America, because we keep realizing halfway through the game that we forgot some very important rule and so we just give up.
