The photos in this entry are all really old ones from the beginning of the summer that I never posted. I've just been so busy that I haven't even had time to take or edit any photos! So that really proves how busy I was!

The above photo was from June 17 - the day that iffles.com celebrated its first birthday! I still find it pretty incredible (in a good way) that people come to me for photography advice. In fact, a friend of John has a younger brother who needs Senior photos taken and has asked ME to do them! It's quite an honor!

In other exciting news, I'm looking to get my kitchen and downstairs bathroom remodeled, which will actually mean a couple things - not only will both be new and pretty, but the kitchen will be bigger, and I'll be adding a walk-in pantry between the kitchen and bathroom, which is something I desperately need! This also means that on the rare occasions that we do have guests, they can have their own bathroom! I don't plan on having a tub in there anymore, but there will be a shower. Of course, nothing has been set in stone yet. I'm pretty sure I've picked out my contractor, but that's about it - still need to work out the details and the financing, so don't expect the photos of progress anytime soon... but know that there WILL be some eventually, because I have to document the process!

John has been perfecting the art of grilling this summer (the above photo is actually not our grill, but some friends down in Columbus), and it's been so fantastic. We've been getting a bunch of corn both from my CSA and the little farmers-market-type-thing down the road from us. John's grilled corn is by far the best I've ever had, and we've made so many skewers of veggies and baked potatoes this year, too! I love cooking, of course, but I also love sitting back on the deck with a glass of while while John does all the work, too :)

We got a bunch of blueberries this year, too. We got a big batch from my friend Joe's house that mostly got turned into wine, but some got put in pancakes, too. The second batch we got was from the CSA, and those went into these awesome muffins. At one point, I got raspberries from the CSA that I was trying to get from spoiling before Aunt Donna and Uncle John visited, so that I could make them some raspberry crisp, but unfortunately, when I went to make the crisp right before the arrived, I discovered some moldy berries and so I tossed them out. Too bad, because a few weeks later, I got another batch of raspberries from the CSA and did get a chance to make some crisp and oh my, it was delicious!
