Pemaquid

As previously mentioned, I have a ton of photos from our trip to Maine! Our main destination was Acadia National Park (we rented a cottage in Bar Harbor that was the perfect size for the two of us), but on the way up we stopped at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. It's the lighthouse that is depicted on the Maine state quarter. The most impressive thing about the lighthouse is really the rocky shore (as you'll see below). I remember going here as a kid and having a blast climbing around on the rocks. I'm not sure what John thought about making this stop, or what he was expected, but he seemed to agree it was a pretty impressive sight to behold. We wandered around long enough to take these photos, and that's just about all we did before getting back in the car and heading the rest of the way up to Acadia.

Oh, and we were there on 9/11, which is why the flag is at half mast.
