Deer Creek - Part One

Back in July, I spent a weekend at Deer Creek State Park with my parents. I had never been to one of the State Parks during the busy summer season, but we still had a great time exploring the park and the surrounding area.

I got to the lodge before my parents did, and after getting all my stuff to my room (which was a pain and a half because there were no bike racks on site, so I had to bring my bike into my room. With all my camera gear. And clothes and stuff. That's a lot of stuff and I'm too stubborn to make two trips. Plus it was hot), I decided to roam the lodge while waiting for my parents. It actually had a pretty cool lobby:

After my parents got there, we biked some of the grounds, until I got too hot/tired/hungry! So we went back to the lodge to eat dinner. I was starving! Here's the view from the lodge restaurant:

Then we walked down to the docks, where a kid was fishing and there were three random chairs looking out over the water:

The next morning, we had breakfast at the lodge and got to see this little guy out the window:
