A bit of a catch up.

Somebody pointed out to me I haven't posted here in a while.  Um. Yeah. Srsly. Sorry 'bout that.

I'm still trying to catch up chronologically on the photos here, but if anyone reading this happens to know we were doing a major remodel on our upstairs bathroom and hadn't already seen the pics, you can go here to see all the before and afters. Now, as for what else has been going on in our lives, I don't feel like doing a big recap (besides, the remodel is probably the most exciting part), so I'll just start with this weekend.  We were supposed to go down to Hocking Hills to do a zombie run, but our friend Sarah, who was going to run with me, had some car trouble and couldn't make it, and I admit I was a bit scared to run that race by myself, so instead we just nixed that part of the weekend plan, and drove down to spend Saturday night in Columbus with some friends (after Sarah's car was fixed).  Had a blast down there, and drove back up to Akron. We stopped at Grandpa's Cheese Barn - one of those places that you see the signs for and always say you're going to stop, but never actually do. Well. We did. It was awesome.  We also made an impromptu stop at at the outlet mall because they have a Levi's store and their jeans fit me quite well and my current ones kept falling down (oh yeah, I've also lost some weight), and this is where I found out I'm also a size smaller than I thought - woot! After a pit stop at home, we threw the bikes on the car (not literally) and the three of us went down to the Towpath for a bike ride. This is where I found out that I'm much more in shape than I was at this point last year. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I used to barely make it up the hills at the end of the part of the trail we go on, and I flew up this time no problem. And this was the first ride of the summer!  New size, in shape, happy iffles!

So, John grew out his beard for Halloween because he needed a full goatee (and he doesn't like goatees on himself) so he waited until the night of the halloween party we were going to in order to shave the rest of the beard - and the top of his head - off. This is the before photo.
