It feels like John and I are always busy, but whenever anyone asks us what's new with us, we can't seem to come up with anything. I have, of course, been taking (and trying to catch up on editing) photos - though, with a real camera, not the stuffed one you see me with above :).

Now that the weather has been getting nicer, we've been doing a lot more outside. John fixed the umbrella on our patio table (that's the top surface of said table above, before its Spring Cleaning), and also started working on our ever-expending vegetable garden. Though, I don't think we can expand any more than we did this year because we have stuff in every inch of our yard that gets sun (which, admittedly, is very little of our yard).

We've also had a couple fires in our firepit - usually with a friend or two over. We haven't yet started up the grill, but I'm sure that will come soon enough. We typically have a party every year around John's birthday (though he refuses to call it a birthday party), so it will at least happen by then.

John and I also recently celebrated 4 years of dating. We walked down to Larry's (the small bar/restaurant near our house) for dinner, and then came back and had some wine while watching a movie and eating fresh strawberries from my CSA. It was a nice, quiet celebration - four years isn't really a big number, so a small celebration was enough for us.

We do have a couple things coming up to look forward to. My job is sending me to conference down in Columbus at the end of the month. It's a conference I've been to a couple times before that's really fantastic, so I'm excited about going again. In fact, they're sending all the developers on the project team I'm on (there are three of us), so that's quite a change from typical years when we ask and say no. Anyway, since it's just a relatively short drive away, John's coming with me in order to enjoy the free hotel room!

The above two pictures (and one below) are all from a Happy Hour I went to for the Young Professionals of Akron. It was at Greystone Hall - a beautiful old building in Akron. They also have a buffet every Tuesday for lunch, so a couple of us from work went one Tuesday, and it was really quite yummy.

I'm not sure I really have anything else to say, so I'll just end with the rest of my little photodump here - I'm just started to edit the photos from New York, so I wanted to get everything from between DC and New York posted so that when I finished editing the NY photos, I could post them right away!

John built two raised beds this year (the other one wasn't built yet when this photo was taken, but is now behind where John is crouched down). One has onions and beans in it, and the other has zucchini and onions in it (can you tell we like onions?). We also have a flower box full of herbs and two pots with tomatoes and two pots with peppers up on the deck

Planting onions

The rest of the photos are all from the construction on Frank Blvd, right near my house, which is causing quite a headache.
