The weather has warmed up some, and all our snow has melted! Impressive, since we had well over a foot of it. Of course, this has also caused 1) the gutter to fall off my house and 2) some water seeping into the basement. But, these things happen.
So, today I went out on my 6th photowalk. I'm calling my weeks as Thursday-Wednesday, so today was the last day I had to squeeze one in for this week, so even though it was muddy and wet and cloudy, I had to go out! here's the results. I think i did pretty good with what I had. Oh, and it started raining about 5-10 minutes after I started, so I didn't have a lot of time to get good pictures. Anyway, I'm looking forward to doing my next photowalk in Connecticut! (the beans have been spilled - mom knows I'm coming, so I can say that here now)
I had my camera at work today (because I planned to go right from there to the park) and my manager saw it. Turns out he has the same camera, and actually knows how to use it, too! It was very nice to talk in CameraSpeak to someone at work and have them know what I was talking about, and so we compared lenses, technique and such and we talked about trading lenses so we could try them out (he's got a nice zoom lens, but no wide angle, and I've got the nice wide angle, and only a very cheap zoom lens - appropriate for each of us since he likes shooting sports, and I like nature & buildings). Anyway, nice to know that someone else at work that's interested in the same thing - and even nicer that it's my manager, as I think this was the longest conversation we've ever had and the only one when he actually looked like he wanted to talk to me and not just talking to me because he has to for work.
(Actually, not really our longest conversation ever, but longest with me as his employee - he actually did one of my interviews back in 1999!)
